The UK will be unable to help Australia with AUKUS submarines, according to the former director of nuclear policy at the UK Ministry of Defence.

We already know the US will not be able to supply the first three Virginia SSN, this now means the next five AUKUS submarines cannot be supplied either.

Virginia SSN are being produced at a rate of 1.2/1.3 per annum. A rate of 2.33 is needed to supply Australia with these boats.

This is another major reason to look at advanced non-nuclear submarines. Nuclear submarines will just not be available!
